Unintelligible!!

Who can understand the beauty of Maths? I mean, is it a beauty in the first place? There are many who disgree but I am one of 'those' people, who are completely smitten by the enigma of this subject.
It all started when I started studying for GRE and we were required to study this is as an important criterion for judging our abilities. So, here I am, having learnt only Biology and Chemistry for the past 7 years; and missing out totally on Math!! I used to do number puzzles, but that's a different thing altogether. Apart from the basic Math, I had forgotten about the different areas and problems. So from the past 3 months, I have been reading text book after text book, trying to comprehend each problem and the possibility of various solutions.
I opened the second text book of Algebra. There were x's and y's all over the page. It looked dirty. But then again, I had to solve each equation. Ugh!
I finished about 25 problems and got only 17 right! It kills me to even mention it. Anyway, moving on to the next tragedy....
Geometry is a subject that deals with figures. Now, why would any sane person, in everyday life, want to calculate angles and length sides and areas?? What is the point? I cannot even imagine the torture I put myself through each day going through useless theorems for GRE to do a friggin' BIOLOGICAL course!! Its like studying about Adolf Hitler to pursue a course in Quantum Mechanics. There's no connection.
Now my troubles have eased a bit. I am familiar with concepts and moving on. So much so, that the tables have turned and I like this subject a lot(Lets not get carried away..I mean, I like it..I mean, I can live with it)
Oh what the heck! Math sucks!!!!!
